Always-On Advisor
TERMS & CUSTOMER POLICIES

Using Always-On Advisor

Effective September 13, 2026

These terms govern your use of Always-On Advisor, operated by Short Circuit Media. They explain your responsibilities and our policies for subscriptions, publishing, cancellation and support.

Your account

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and only act for a business or another person when you are authorized to do so. You are responsible for activity and content you authorize through your account. Contact us if you believe someone has accessed it without permission.

Free trials and guided setup

The standard free trial lasts 14 days and does not require a credit card. It does not automatically become a paid subscription. Choose and purchase a plan to continue public Advisor access after the trial, unless we have confirmed a separate managed-service arrangement with you.

Guided onboarding is available. For a done-for-you engagement, Short Circuit Media can configure the client’s profile, knowledge, voice, public link and embed code with authorization. The scope, fee and any additional services are those agreed with the customer. The customer must provide the necessary content rights and voice permission and approve the Advisor before its initial publication.

Your content and voice

You retain ownership of the documents, recordings, branding and other material you provide. You authorize us and our service providers to host, process and use that material to deliver and support your Advisor, including making approved responses available to its visitors. Only upload or import material you own or are entitled to use. A public webpage is not automatically free of copyright or other restrictions.

You must have the speaker’s permission to clone or use their voice. Do not impersonate someone deceptively, misrepresent an AI conversation as a live human, or use the service for unlawful activity, harassment, fraud or infringement of another person’s rights.

Testing, publishing and later updates

Before an Advisor’s first launch, you or an authorized administrator must try a test question, review the answer and explicitly accept it. Testing later revisions is optional; it is not required to republish an Advisor that has already launched. You remain responsible for reviewing the material and settings you make public.

Saved revisions remain private until republished. Publishing updates keeps the Advisor’s existing link and embed code. Adding training materials does not require you to upload the same saved voice again. Unpublishing disables public access; an expired trial, inactive subscription or exhausted voice allowance can also restrict the experience.

Subscriptions and voice minutes

Available plans, billing currency, taxes where applicable, and the total charge are shown before purchase. Paid subscriptions renew monthly or annually according to the option selected at checkout, unless cancelled. Any promotion applies according to the terms shown with that offer.

Plans include a stated number of voice minutes that reset each monthly usage cycle, including on annual plans. Unused included minutes do not accumulate. Purchased minute packs are used after included minutes and remain available for use while a paid subscription is active. Buying more minutes does not renew or replace a subscription. Your Usage & Billing area shows your allowance and balance; voice conversations may be limited or unavailable when available minutes are exhausted or in use.

Cancellation and account closure

Manage or cancel your subscription through Usage & Billing and the Stripe billing portal. Review the cancellation confirmation for the effective date and any remaining access. If you cannot open billing management, email aidan@shortcircuitmedia.com for help. Unpublishing an Advisor, removing an embed or simply stopping use does not cancel billing.

Cancellation does not automatically delete your account, knowledge files or saved voice. Request account closure or data deletion separately as described in our Privacy Policy.

Billing questions and refunds

Contact us if a charge appears incorrect or duplicated, a paid feature is unavailable, or you want to request a refund. Include your account email, charge date and the problem; do not send full card details. We review requests based on the purchase, service delivery and applicable consumer rights. Cancellation does not itself issue a refund, and no refund is confirmed until we provide a decision.

Customer support and reporting problems

Email aidan@shortcircuitmedia.com for setup, access, billing or technical support. For an error, include the Advisor link, what you were trying to do, the approximate time, your browser or device, and a screenshot if helpful. Do not include passwords or unnecessary confidential material.

We investigate reported problems and prioritize issues that prevent access, publishing or conversations. Response and resolution times depend on the issue; we do not promise round-the-clock support or a fixed repair time. You can also book a support call.

AI responses and service availability

Advisor responses are generated by AI and may be incomplete or incorrect. Verify important information before acting on it. The service is not an emergency service or a substitute for qualified professional advice, and we do not guarantee particular business results.

Uploads and webpage imports depend on supported formats, readable content and the source website’s access rules. External websites may block import. Voice, payments and other features depend on third-party services and may be interrupted. We may limit or suspend access to address abuse, security risks, non-payment or violations of these terms.

Privacy and changes to these terms

Our Privacy Policy explains information handling and your choices. We will post changes to these terms with an updated effective date and provide notice of material changes to an active paid service. These terms do not remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
